Sunshine
So, this is a movie review with possible spoilers. I watched the movie "Sunshine" last night and it is pretty cool visually. It starts out as a sci-fi psychological thriller and then moves into a creepy killer movie toward the end. The whole movie centers around the human interaction or lack of it of the crew of 8 on board for the past 7 years and they are about to lose contact with Earth, which I should remind you Earth is a cold icy planet because the sun is dying and they are sent with the last of Earth's nuclear fuel cells to re-ignite the sun, because of solar flares because they are getting close to the sun. So once their last contact keeping them connected to Earth disappears shit starts to hit the fan. They pick up a signal from the first attempt Icarus 1 (they are Icarus 2) and they decide to alter course and head for that ship. So things go awry, somebody dies and is somewhat predictable at parts. So things just keep getting worse and they head closer to the sun, but they are running out of oxygen (which is kind of important) so things become dicey with lack of resource now. I am being vague about things by the way so if you see it I am not ruining the entire thing. So they dock up with the other ship and search for any possible live crew (2 live crew, not really but the joke was there). The captain of the Icarus 1 kind of lost his mind and became very religious and that plays a part toward the end of the movie. Once they leave the Icarus 1 that is when it becomes a creepy killer movie. The ending you could probably guess, but I won't tell you because I don't wanna ruin it for you. I enjoyed the movie and it was a cool concept and idea. The movie shifted genres during the middle, but it shifted somewhat oddly and smoothly at the same time. It wasn't what I expected, but I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a sci-fi thriller or cool movie (very technical, I know).

Its Armageddon only without the eye candy and much more creepy. If you've seen Armageddon then you know how his movie is going to turn out. I give it a C, because I am a trusted and well known movie critic.
